RISC OS North

RISC OS is a compact and unencumbered operating system that runs on the 32-bit ARM processor. It was originally developed by Acorn Computers Ltd, the same company that first designed the ARM CPU itself, for use in the Archimedes range of computers – successors to the 8-bit BBC Micro and its variants.

The 2025 floor plan – the 2026 plan will be available closer to the event.

The RISC OS North computer show is your opportunity to explore the operating system’s history, and to see where it is now and where it’s heading; to find out about the latest hardware and software developments from a range of companies and organisations operating in and for the RISC OS community.

Opening times: 10:30am until 4:30pm

Entry: TBC (2025 was £7 on the door, with free entry for anyone under 14).
