User groups at the show

As well as coming along to shows like RISC OS North, a good way to support the operating system is to attend your local user group – and a few will be represented at this event.

Some groups hold regular online meetings that you can join from anywhere – you don’t need to be local to them – and some hold physical, in-person meetings.

The Wakefield RISC OS User Group (WROCC) is a formally run group with regular online meetings featuring guest speakers, and publishes a monthly PDF magazine for its members.

The RISC OS User Group of London (ROUGOL) also holds regular meetings online, with guest speakers – but these are hybrid meetings, so if you’re local to London you can also attend in person instead.

With less frequent meetings, sometimes online, sometimes in person, the Midlands User Group (MUG) is a smaller group.

There is also the Southampton RISC OS User Group (SROUG), which meets regularly in person, and if you’re local to them, you can speak to Andrew Conroy on the Owl-Art stand.

And finally, another group that meets regularly is Bristol RISC OS Users (BRU). To find out more about this group either speak to Vince Hudd on the Soft Rock Software stand, or Chris Hall at his table.
