It’s not all about modern computing at RISC OS North – you’ll also be able to explore older systems, and perhaps even obtain something to keep that old kit running.
Retro Hardware, for example, will be able to help you if you have an Acorn Electron in use, or if you’re planning on resurrecting one – and for slightly more modern systems, you’ll be the ARCIN32 (aka Blitz), a hard drive interface for the A7000, A7000+, and RiscPC – amongst other things.
Check out the Northwest Computer Museum as well to see what they bring along from their site in the Leigh Spinners Mill, where they display usable exhibits from the 1970s right up to date, and hold programming workshops and more.
And finally, don’t forget to pop over to the charity stand – you’ll find all sorts of things there, and if you’re lucky you might be able to pick up a bargain bit of retro kit.
